Dinghy Section

This year we have arranged a number of dinghy events. These range from dinghy  cruises, picnics, talks, races – some inter club so competitive –  some informal like our Big Breakfast races where we finish an early race with a hearty breakfast!   We have even arranged a dinghy cruise to Creeksea Sailing Club, camping overnight and sailing back the next day. How’s that as an adventure!

We have organised a number of workshop/ talks to help people improve their sailing, some aimed at the less experienced some aimed at the more experienced. All our events are supported by safety /escort boat cover. We also have organised a number of BBQs. An of course you join in the Club organised social events.

You don’t even need to own a boat join in; we have Club boats for members to use (a heron, 2 guls and 5 toppers) and  members are always looking for crew.

Whatever “floats your boat” we aim to have fun and enjoy our dinghy sailing,

If you are interesting in sailing or learning to sail, we welcome you to visit our club. We run a scheme where we can teach you to sail from scratch (including safely launching and landing!) by certified instructors. We have fun events and cruises, as well as socials, and welcome all abilities. You can use our super club boats if you don’t have your own. We welcome dinghy and cruiser sailors, as well as those with canoes and we are starting up a rowing section. Why not contact us or pop down to the club for a chat.
